First SketchBox Review – June & July 2023…

Been a while since anything has been posted, but in the future, will try to do better. Over two years ago, I decided to sign up for a monthly art subscription from a company called SketchBox.com. Admittedly, I didn’t do much with it for a very long time, and just recently have started I dulling myself in 26 months-worth of art supplies sent to me. And I have to say, I’m having so much fun, and am so very inspired by it all. There are so many things sent that I had no knowledge of, and because of that, had no real use for them until now. So stay tuned for more posts about my exploration into these products.

Below are pictures of my attempts at using the first monthly mailing from #SketchBoxJune of 2023. This box contained 4 colors of reactive ink, a multi liner Sketchbox pencil, brush, and paper, the details can be found on the SketchBox.com site.

I started a SketchBox scrapbook of sorts, and have inserted details of each shipment, plus examples of the exercises from the YouTube videos for each monthly shipment.

Custom Hero Arts Reactive Ink (Blue Raspberry, Fruit Punch, Lemon Drop, & Fog), Copic Multiliner, Sketchbox Signature White Gel Pen, KingArt Gold 9000 Series Round Brush (Size 4), Magnani 104 Pesci White

And while I was at it, I also indulged in the #SketchBoxJuly of 2023 supplies, and after doing the tutorials, have I clouded pics below. This shipment contained a pan watercolor set, a water brush that will be wonderful for using while out and about (it holds water), along with a travel watercolor booklet to paint in, another multiliner for drawing, and a watercolor pencil. Too much fun…that’s all I can say!

Color wheel (that I’m not very good at…yet). Everything takes practice.
The inspiration)nap word for this month was “EXPLORE”. I had taken this pic from a tv show, and would like to go back and do it properly, but you get the general idea.
Last, but not least, I tried to be a little loose (not easy for me), and tried these few colors. Kinda like it!

Again…stay tuned, I’ve already started working on the next 2 monthly boxes, and am excited to show you the result.
